Some people are food snobs. I'm a spelling snob. OK, and a Chinese food snob. I thought it was bad enough that there are dozens of restaurants in Chicago purporting to sell both Chinese food and sushi. I mean, the management is either Chinese or Japanese, you can't tell me they are all Sino-Japanese joint ventures.
But this week I saw the ultimate: A sign on an empty storefront near our place promises that "Shushi and Chinese Food" are coming soon.
Confucius says: If you can't spell it, don't sell it.

Yeah, I have to say I'd steer clear of a place like that. But around San Jose, do you know how many funky names they have? It's not so much the spelling that's bad - it's the translation. I can't even think to list all the names of places I'd never eat just based on the name. Sad thing is, I'm probably missing out on something decent.
One one hand, if they can't spell it's probably a good sign that they cook authentic food because they are from China(?)
But on the other hand, if they can't spell then maybe they can't read all the regulations of running a clean shop in the US (yuck)
They did a review of Chinese places in China Town DC, and most of them failed miserably in cleanliness. Bad news
OK that is scary!
Sounds likes a promise of a stomach ache.
