Of course, I picked up this cold/sinus thing that both Epu and Nutmeg have had. No matter how many times you wash your hands, when your job description includes washing the snotty nose of an infected person, you're probably gonna get sick. And of course, as soon as I realized I was coming down with it, I also felt like things were starting to move along babywise. I think I lost the mucous plug and I started having more contractions, or at least I started noticing them more, and I started feeling more pressure very low in the pelvic area. Today I haven't noticed contractions as much because I've been so busy but the pressure is definitely still there.
And I am suspiciously energetic today. I went out to breakfast with the in-laws, toured an elementary school, then swam 11 laps, and yet when I lay down to take a nap I couldn't sleep at all. Now it's 9:20 p.m. and I'm still not crashing. Hmm.
I really hope these are "you will go into labor within a week" signs and not "you will be in triage in three hours" signs. I so want the whole family -- especially me! -- to be free of upper respiratory viruses when Filbertine arrives.

Oh! I'm so excited! I can't wait to get the phone call! Here's to hoping the orange juice and hand washing work! :)
It's funny, earlier today I noticed that it was the 25th and thought, "I wonder if Carrie will go into labor today---she had Nutmeg on the 25th, too."
Hmmm....
And BTW, how do you fit swim 11 laps in while watching Nutmeg? In the short time you've been here, you've figured out roughly 800 more babysitting contacts. I'm amazed. I actually feel trapped in my house everyday, with no help to allow me time away. I know it's probably my own doing, but really, you amaze me!
