Don't Tell Wisconsin

Now that the dairy-free diet has made Filbertine this content, I decided to cautiously experiment with coffee and see if I can get away with it. So yesterday at TJs we bought a bottle of Vanilla Rice Dream, a soy milk and an almond milk. Well, day 1 of the taste test says that coffee with vanilla rice dream is just about as good as with dairy milk. Funny, in my normal life I cringe at the idea of these white liquids marketed as "milk." But if I'd do anything for my babies, I'd do absolutely anything for coffee.

Now I just have to wait and see if Fil grimaces, fusses and turns into a fountain of spit up today. If not, I'm off the coffee wagon! BTW, we also made pancakes with Rice Dream this morning and they tasted just fine. Good, even.

Also, the sleeper Fil is wearing in this picture says, "Dear Giraffe, Party at 6. Love Hippo."

I love this photo! So cute! It's hard to believe they start out that small. I'm melting just looking at her!

I see some glimpses of Nutmeg in her face, but I think she looks really different, too! She's certainly a brunette for the time being, and her eyes look dark, too. We must get together so I can see her in person!

As for the rice milk, I'm impressed you bought it. I know it's healthy, but I can't even look at it without thinking, "yuck." I'm glad that it's tastier than I'd imagined. Coffee is very important.

Cute. Cute. Cute!

I've been lactose intolerant all my life (and I was a colicky baby)...but, I just found out about it through a nutritionist elminiation diet that I did about five years ago. No dairy at all for me! So I understand your pain because there is dairy in everything!

Rice Dream pancakes are more like crepes! Yum.

TOO MUCH CUTENESS! :)

maybe it's because rice is such a staple in my life - i LOVE rice milk - i'd rather have that than milk ANY DAY...

She is toooooo cute! I'm dyin over here.
So, this is killing me. I know what Nutmeg's real name is (I used to work with you and Jack at LS.com!) but it's killing me that I don't know what Fil's name is. If you would be so kind to maybe email me, it would be lovely!
