Here's Nutmeg on her last day of kindergarten. Notice how she loaded up on markers that her teacher was going to throw away. My little
Frugalista.
She brought home a lovely portfolio of drawings that begins and ends with self portraits. It's nice to see how much her drawing improved over the course of the year; she learned how to draw necks on people, and human bodies became roughly human-shaped instead of just triangles.
She also brought home her journals, which progressed from writing one sentence at a time, in all caps, to full paragraphs with proper capitalization and spelling.
That teacher taught the hell out of those kids this year. We'll miss her.
Here's Nutmeg on her first day of kindergarten:
When I look at that, she looks like a street-smart teenager in the last day pic. But don't worry. I just peeked in on her in bed, and she still looks like a little angel when she sleeps.
