Is This It?

I think my water broke. Now, I thought this my first pregnancy and it was just the mucous plug, and I ended up being pregnant for six more days. But this is a lot more fluid this times, and it was followed by a couple contractions. Let's hope more are on the way. Epu is going to see if he can buy a pH strip at Walgreens if I still feel there's any doubt by the time he gets off the train.

Yay! My parents were already planning on spending the night tonight, so this should be good. Especially if we can get some serious contractions going here.

Woo hoo! That must have been moments after we got off the phone. My prayers for a birth that your mom and dad would be in town to enjoy may have been answered. Don't tell them, though, since I know that they aren't fans of us "God-reliers." Whatever the case, I'm so happy for ALL of you!

GOOD LUCK AND BIG HUGS OUT YOUR WAY!

Delurking (kinda, sorta) to say, yay! I hope Filbertine enters the world as easily as possible. I am hoping your pregnancy is finally coming to an end, and that your new journey is beginning!

So incredibly happy to hear you and the family are all healthy and safe!

Also, super happy to hear from your husband's blog that it was quite the "out in a flash" baby! (At least that is what it sounded like!)

3 cheers for you!
Oh, I mean 4 cheers for you! (One for every member of the family!)

Congratulations on the new baby! I am so glad to hear that everything is going well and looking forward to hearing more about your new adventures. I am "de-lurking" myself as well- I have been reading your blog for a few months and just wanted to say that you are a great writer. You have also really been making my homesickness increase- I lived in that area for 6 years before my husband and I moved to St. Louis for me to go to grad school 5 years ago. I have to admit that a) that Sears over on Lawrence sucks and b) the post office by you has got to be the worst in Chicago. My mom just moved into the area and they made her bring all these forms and ID to open a new PO box, then denied giving her one because all the addresses didn't match (because she just moved!). Her last PO didn't require any of that and process only took about 10 minutes. I also really appreciate all the info about schools in Chicago, since we would love to move back to the Lincoln Square area when we move back to Chicago (which will hopefully be this summer) and will be starting a family within a year of moving back. I really appreciate your information about the Chicago school system. I grew up in the burbs and had no idea that Chicago schools didn't have recess like we did. I also reccomend a couple of great restaurants in the area. There are two Italian restaurants, both run by a husband and wife (Bocca Della Veritas and Pizza DOC). The husband is from Rome and they make the most authentic Italian (NOT Italian American) food I've had in Chicago. Bocca is more of a date night place, but I think DOC is more kid friendly. And if you like Thai food, Thai Spoon has great, inexpensive food and it only once took them more than 25 minutes to deliver to us.

Again congratulations!

All: Thanks for the well-wishing! Cpu will be back Saturday. She has her laptop but hasn't tried to use it yet. Dunno if internet awaits or what. Everything still going well.

Heathen, re: Spoon, Pizza D.O.C; these places are great, we've had good luck with them before. Leftover pizza from pdoc actually awaits me for dinner tonight. We'll try Bocca when we get time. Good luck out there.
